Our library is the definitive collection on the past and present of India and South Asia in Hungary, albeit the Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre at the Embassy of India in Budapest also houses a smaller contemporary collection about the region. The collection reaching 20.000 select volumes (approximately 300 running meters) is housed in our major seminar room and five other faculty office rooms.

हमारे देश हंगरी में भारत एवं दक्षिण ऐशिया के अतीत और वर्तमान पर का प्रमुख पुस्तकालय हमारे विभाग का ही है, हालाँकि भारत के बुदापैश्त राजदूतावास से जुड़े अमृता शेर-गिल सांस्कृतिक केन्द्र में भी वर्तमान विषयों से सम्बद्ध एक संग्रह उपलब्ध है। लगभग २०.००० पुस्तकों जितनी यह विशाल सामग्री (क़रीब ३०० रनिंग मीटर) मुख्यतः हमारे बड़े सेमिनार कक्ष तथा पाँच अन्य अध्ययन कक्षों में व्यवस्थित रखी है।
