1st TSC - Trefort Student Conference

Dear Students,

Would you like to try yourself out on a conference? Haven't you had the opportunity to attend a conference in your area? Maybe you don't feel prepared enough to present alone?

The Scientific Committee of ELTE BTK Students’ Union and the Doctoral Students’ Union together organizing the I. Trefort Student Conference which will be held on March 16-17, 2023.

The conference is open to all ELTE BTK students. They could come from any major with a freely chosen topic, so that everyone could present on the topic they like most. Our goal is that students, who have not presented at a conference before, be comfortable to apply.

To ensure that everyone can stand in front of the audience more courageously, we’ll ask the section leaders to be among BTK's doctoral students, so you don't have to feel like you're in a class or competition. And if you don't have a ready topic, or if you don't want to stand alone, it is possible to present it in pairs with another student.

The presentation’s length can be 20 minutes, which can be held in Hungarian or English. If you are interested in conferencing, would like to start, or are just thinking about an academic profession, here is your chance to try it out and start your academic career!
